I understand Ukraine also wants to have sovereignty. Ukraine is unlucky to be caught up between NATO expansion and Russian concerns about NATO expansion. "We" may not regards NATO as a danger, the Russians do. The globalism vs sovereigntybattle is the substate of this conflict.
